Couldn’t be more ready for this week to end! I’ve got a good book (and a few dozen envelopes awaiting calligraphy) waiting for me at home, but hopefully these links will help us both make it sanely to 5 pm. 🙂
Happy Friday! C & I are deep in the throws of wedding planning, and I’m quickly discovering my sanity level is closely correlated with the number of boxes I’ve checked on my checklist. Wedding season in Oregon is a really miniature time window, taking the stress of getting your top choice of vendors to a whole new level. My advice to future brides? If you’ve just got to have your wedding during busy season, plan your wedding for a Friday (if you plan to have your guests booze it up) or Sunday (if you’re looking for a more laid back, brunch wedding). Fridays and Sundays mean way less competition for vendors and venues.
Reception napkins have been the recent focus of debate, but these napkins are so great it makes the choice seem easy.
Hello Friday! It’s been a crazy week. And now it’s Valentine’s Day which means forgoing all diets and people can’t judge you for being overly mushy. The beau and I are planning a romantic dinner at McDonald’s followed up by an all-night House of Cards marathon. (Totally kidding about the McDonald’s).
Last week kicked off Fashion Month which means I’ve been glued to my Instagram feed 24/7. The Olympics also kicked off last week, which would mean I’d be glued to the TV if I had it, so instead I’m obsessively refreshing the medal count. So many things to obsess over, so little time! Don’t worry though, with all that time on the interweb, I tracked down some pretty kick ass links for this week’s Friday Report.
What better way to keep up with my obsessions (and wedding planning) than this ingenious bullet journal?
You’re about to lose hours of your time on this baby name website. Is your name a wizards hat? Find out what that means (and a million more awesome facts about names) on Wait But Why.
Hello Lovelies! As much as I love the holidays and jetting off to see loved ones, sometimes it just feels really nice to fall back into a routine. For me this means more gym time, more sleep, more productivity at work, and more catching up on Breaking Bad on Netflix. (But seriously, where can I watch the second half of the final season?) Getting back into my routine also means more internet surfing, so enjoy the awesome links below:
Another dress shopping snapshot. Still obsessed with that Kenneth Pool dress….
I didn’t have a single bite of turkey yesterday. Or stuffing. Or cranberry sauce. In fact, M and I spent Thanksgiving dinner eating pre-made enchiladas from the freezer aisle at the grocery store. We’re in the middle of moving into our new place and everything we own is boxed up right now (we couldn’t even find forks to eat with). But I can’t say I regret spending our holiday that way. The heat isn’t on at our new place which made me ultra thankful that we still had a warm home to go back to. I also got to spend the whole day with my beau which seems rare these days. Perhaps an nontraditional Thanksgiving was just what we needed to feel thankful!

This week has been full of big changes. M & I sold our house and found a new place to move all since putting a “For Sale” sign in the yard last Sunday. Talk about a whirlwind week! Now we’ve added the stress of moving to the already stressful and travel-filled holiday season. Ahhh! Not to mention M’s birthday was this weekend. So I apologize for a super delayed Friday Report this week. Hopefully y’all can forgive me. Do you have any tips for staying stress free during the holidays? Please share in the comments! My sanity depends on it, people.
